Who we are

This store is operated by Akechi Inc., 4443 Enterprise St, Fremont, CA 94538, United States. Questions or requests about your information can be sent to contact@akechi.net.

Information you give us

When you shop or check out, we receive the information needed to validate, fulfill, and support your order.

• Name, email address, optional phone number, and shipping address.
• The products and quantities in your cart and any order note you add.
• If you create an account, your verified email address and your order history with us.
• Messages you send to customer service.

Information stored in your browser

Your cart is kept in your browser’s local storage so it persists between page views. If you sign in, we set cookies needed to keep your account session secure. These are required for the store to work and are not used for advertising. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure how the store is used, and the Google Customer Reviews invitation on the order confirmation page may also use Google cookies, as described below.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe through its hosted checkout page. You enter card details with Stripe, and we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive the payment result and the details needed to record and fulfill the order.

How we use information

We use your information only to run the store and serve your orders.

• To confirm prices, inventory, postage, and payment, and to ship your order.
• To provide order status and customer service.
• To prevent fraud and misuse and to keep the store secure.
• To meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the store, and only for that purpose: Stripe for payment processing, shipping carriers such as USPS for delivery, our phone and text-messaging provider for customer calls and texts, our cloud hosting and email providers for operating the site and our order systems, and Google for website analytics. Google also receives order details for the optional review survey described below.

Google Customer Reviews

After you pay, the order confirmation page may show an invitation from Google Customer Reviews to rate your experience with the store. To show it, Google may receive information about your order: the order number, your email address, the delivery country, and the estimated delivery date. Taking part is optional and does not affect your order. If you opt in, Google emails you one short survey after the estimated delivery date.

• Google and its partners may place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons or similar technologies, to run the program.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not affect shopping or checkout on this store.

Text messages

If you give us your phone number at checkout, we may text you about your order and customer support requests, and we reply to texts you send us. We do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help, or email contact@akechi.net.

• We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
• Our phone and text-messaging provider processes messages only to deliver them for us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how shoppers use the store: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and which products are added to carts and ordered. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and, for orders, the order number, the products, and the order value. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, or shipping address to Google Analytics.

• Google signals and ads personalization are turned off. We do not use analytics data for remarketing or to target ads to you on other sites, and the store runs no advertising tags.
• If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the store does not load Google Analytics.
• For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage is off, so no analytics cookies are set.

• How Google uses information from sites that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
• We may add Google Ads conversion measurement later to learn which ads lead to orders. This notice will be updated before that is turned on.

Sale of personal information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal requirements.

• Order, payment, and tax records: 7 years, to meet tax and accounting record requirements.
• Account profile: until account deletion is requested, except records kept for the order period.
• Analytics data in Google Analytics: 14 months.

Your choices and requests

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing contact@akechi.net from the email address used for your order or account. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we may keep records we are required to retain by law.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards, including hosted payment entry and restricted access to order systems. The store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
